The outage was reported by users in multiple countries, including the United States, India, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Downdetector, a platform that tracks online service interruptions, recorded thousands of complaints from affected users.

Users encountered difficulties loading content, experienced login problems, and faced delays in message delivery. Many users received an error message stating, “Something went wrong. Try reloading,” when attempting to view posts.

This recent outage follows a previous significant disruption on March 10, 2025, which Elon Musk attributed to a "massive cyberattack".The platform has experienced recurring technical challenges since Musk's acquisition in October 2022, including workforce reductions and restructuring efforts.

The exact reasons for the March 30 outage have not been officially disclosed by X. Users took to other platforms to express frustration and share their experiences, highlighting the reliance on X for real-time information and communication.

The frequent outages faced by X underscore the challenges in maintaining stability and security on large-scale social media platforms. As X continues to evolve under new ownership, addressing these technical issues will be crucial for regaining user trust and ensuring a seamless experience.
