Pune: Danfoss Power Solutions has begun construction on a state-of-the-art manufacturing campus in Talegaon, Pune. This investment of over ₹1,000 crores marks a significant milestone in Danfoss’ expansion strategy in India, aiming to scale production capacity, drive innovation, and support sustainability initiatives.

The seven-acre greenfield facility will more than double Danfoss Power Solutions’ existing manufacturing footprint in India, reinforcing the company’s commitment to long-term growth in the region. The campus will feature an Application Development Center (ADC) dedicated to advancing machinery research and development in collaboration with local customers.

Danfoss Group has steadily increased its presence in India, with six manufacturing facilities across Chennai, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Pune. The new Talegaon facility, part of a broader 44-acre site, will play a key role in:

  • Enhancing production of Danfoss Power Solutions’ existing product lines, including pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.

  • Introducing new product lines to meet growing demand from Indian and global markets.

  • Supporting sustainability goals as part of Danfoss’ commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

  • Accelerating innovation through the ADC, facilitating faster research and development cycles with Indian customers.

Commitment to India’s Industrial Growth

Danfoss Power Solutions’ President, Daniel Winter, highlighted the strategic importance of the new facility, stating, “India is experiencing remarkable industrial growth, and our investment in Pune is a reflection of our confidence in this market. This facility will strengthen our ability to deliver localized, high-quality solutions and sustainable technologies to our customers.”

Torben Christensen, Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Global Services at Danfoss, emphasized the company’s long-term vision for India, adding, “This investment reinforces our focus on sustainability and innovation while strengthening Danfoss’ role in India’s evolving manufacturing ecosystem.”

As part of Danfoss’ commitment to India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the Talegaon campus will bolster local production, reduce supply chain lead times, and enhance customer service. The site’s strategic location will facilitate improved logistics and faster response times for domestic and international clients.

With construction set for completion in the second half of 2026, Danfoss expects to begin operations soon after, further solidifying its position as a key enabler of India’s manufacturing and technological transformation.
