Pune: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has implemented an urgent measure to curb the recurrence of question paper leaks by delivering exam question papers via email to examination centers.

This decision comes after question papers for the Pathology-2 exam, conducted on December 9, were leaked before the commencement of the afternoon session.

Upon receiving information about the paper leak, MUHS swiftly emailed new question papers to examination centers, ensuring the exam proceeded with minimal disruption.

However, the university acknowledged the inconvenience caused to students and parents, issuing an apology for the ordeal.

The university’s examination board convened an emergency meeting on December 10 to address the situation. It was decided that question papers for upcoming exams — Microbiology-1 on December 11 and the next paper on December 13 — would also be sent via email to all centers.

The university emphasized that this email-based distribution might require additional time for logistical adjustments.

MUHS has initiated a thorough investigation by forming a high-level inquiry committee at the university and appointing committees in the affected colleges.

The matter has also been reported to the Cyber Cell and the local police, and a case has been registered to trace the culprits behind the leak.

Dr. Sandeep Kadu, Controller of Examinations, assured that stringent measures are being put in place to prevent such incidents in the future.
