The highlight of this year’s schedule is a record 41-hour continuous metro run on Anant Chaturdashi, starting at 6 am on September 6 and continuing until 11 pm on September 7. Officials said the move is aimed at giving citizens a safe, convenient alternative to road traffic during the final processions.

The underground route from District Court to Swargate, covering District Court, Kasba Peth, Mandai, and Swargate stations, will be particularly important since it passes through the core city area where several of Pune’s most prominent Ganpati mandals are located.

During the festival period, services will follow extended timings: from August 30 to September 5, trains will operate until 2 am instead of the regular 11 pm deadline. Normal operations will resume from September 8.
