Pune: The Pune City Police Traffic Department has announced temporary traffic restrictions in the Shivajinagar area on February 15, 2025, due to the ‘Tarang-2025’ event, which will take place at the Police Headquarters, Shivajinagar. Several VIPs and dignitaries are expected to attend the event, necessitating traffic diversions for security and smooth movement.

In accordance with the Government of Maharashtra’s notification and the Motor Vehicles Act, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Amol Zhende, has issued temporary traffic modifications that will be in effect from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key Traffic Modifications:

  • The Modern Chowk to Deccan Traffic Division (100 meters) stretch will function as a two-way road for the duration of the event.

  • Vasantrao Deshmukh Path (Ghole Road-bound traffic) will remain closed.

  • Traffic from J.M. Road to Surabhi Lane will be restricted.

Modern Chowk → Jhansi Rani Statue Chowk → Ghole Road → Destination

The Pune Traffic Police has urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with traffic personnel and volunteers to ensure smooth traffic movement during the event.
