Pune: The 36th Alumni Meet of the Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiti was held with great enthusiasm, bringing together former students to relive their hostel memories, share professional experiences, and celebrate their achievements. The event, organized by the Alumni Association, saw participation from alumni across various fields, reflecting the lasting impact of the Samiti’s mission.

The event was graced by former students Mahendra Bidwai and Pushpa Arote as chief guests, with senior alumnus Dnyaneshwar Gatkal presiding over the function. Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiti President Prataprao Pawar, Executive Trustee Tushar Ranjankar, Alumni Association President Ganesh Kale, and Secretary Manisha Gosavi were also present. Arote’s daughter, Sai, accepted the honor on her behalf.

A key highlight of the meet was the recognition of dedicated Samiti workers and employees. Volunteer Supriya Kelavkar, staff member Smita Shinde, and donor Rahul Kalvit were honored for their contributions. Additionally, the Ideal Student Awards, sponsored by Arun Kondekar, Advocate Daulat Ingawale, Ratnakar Mate, and Arvind Autade, were presented to outstanding students.

This year’s event was sponsored by former students from Junnar Taluka, with alumni members Anil Khetmalis, Raju Ingle, Dinkar Vaidya, Nisar Chougule, Manoj Gaikwad, Sandeep Ingawale, Sambhaji Satpute, Alaknanda Patil, Sunil Chore, Shankar Barve, Santosh Ghare, Jibhau Shewale, Devidas Tile, and Abhay Vyavhare playing a crucial role in its success.

Dnyaneshwar Gatkal emphasized the Samiti’s role in instilling strong values, stating, “Many underprivileged students still need support, and alumni must actively participate in identifying and assisting them to continue the Vidyarthi Sahayyak Samiti’s mission.”

Prataprao Pawar highlighted the increasing involvement of former students and the expansion of hostel facilities to accommodate the growing number of students in need. He announced the construction of a new girls' hostel at Lajpat Bhavan and a co-ed hostel in Ahilyanagar, urging alumni to contribute towards this cause.

Tushar Ranjankar shared insights into the Samiti’s future plans and challenges, while Ganesh Kale outlined upcoming initiatives by the Alumni Association for the welfare of both past and present students. The program was hosted by Sunil Chore, with coordination by Nisar Chougule and a vote of thanks delivered by Shirish Auti.
