On Saturday, Central Railway (CR) announced that two former special train services linking Pune with key destinations in Marathwada and western Maharashtra have been added to the regular timetable, offering passengers consistent daily rail connectivity.

The current Hadapsar–Harangul train will no longer run as a train-on-demand (TOD) special service and is being converted into a regular daily express with new train numbers 11429/11430.

This change is expected to benefit passengers travelling on the Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Dharashiv and Latur route.

Updated Schedule

  • According to information provided by the railways, train number 11429 Hadapsar–Harangul Express will begin regular daily service from August 15, departing Hadapsar at 6:20 am and arriving in Harangul at 1:00 pm on the same day.

  • The return service, train number 11430 Harangul–Hadapsar Express, is scheduled to leave Harangul at 3:00 pm and arrive in Hadapsar at 8:45 pm.

  • The train will halt at Uruli, Kedgaon, Daund, Kettur, Jeur, Kem, Kurduwadi, Barshi Town, Dharashiv, and Murud.

  • The Hadapsar-Harangul Express will now run with a modern 17-coach LHB rake, which it will share with the Hadapsar-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express.

  • The composition includes one AC two-tier coach, two coaches with five AC three-tier, five sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, one luggage-cum-brake van, and one generator car.

Railway officials stated that bookings for the regular service will be offered via computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and the IRCTC online platform.

In another significant move, Central Railway has decided to convert the Pune–Kolhapur special train into a regular daily express service.

The current train numbers 01023/01024 will be renumbered as 11419/11420 Pune–Kolhapur–Pune Express from October 20.

Train No. 11419 will depart Pune at 9:40 pm every day and reach Kolhapur at 5:08 am the next morning, while Train No. 11420 will leave Kolhapur at 9:50 pm and arrive in Pune at 5:10 am.

The stations on Pune-Kolhapur Express to be linked are: Saswad Road, Jejuri, Nira, Lonand, Wathar, Satara, Koregaon, Rahimatpur, Targaon, Masur, Karad, Takari, Kirloskarwadi, Bhilawadi, Sangli, Miraj, Jaysingpur, Hatkanangale, Rukadi and Vilavade.

Its rake will be configured with one AC two-tier coach, four AC three-tier coaches, sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, one second sitting-cum-guard’s brake van, and one generator car.

The formal introduction of both services is anticipated to offer passengers more dependable daily travel options, replacing the interim special-train setups with permanent express services.

Passengers are urged to verify the updated train numbers, timings, and stoppages on the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the NTES app before commencing their journey, as schedules have been modified.
