Pune, 12th May 2026: A horrifying accident took place at Sadguru Angan Society in Mahesh Society area of Bibwewadi, leaving a woman critically injured after she was allegedly run over by a car inside the society premises.

According to preliminary information, the vehicle belongs to a doctor, but it was reportedly being driven by his associate at the time of the incident. The injured woman, who lives nearby, has been admitted to a private hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment.

Local residents said the woman had come to a nearby flour mill and was returning after collecting her grain when the accident occurred. As she was walking through the society, the car allegedly hit her from the front.

Eyewitnesses said the driver had first reversed the vehicle from the parking area and then moved it forward again. After pausing briefly, the driver accelerated once more, just as the woman was passing by.

The driver reportedly lost control of the car, knocking the woman to the ground. The vehicle then moved over her, causing serious injuries and creating panic among residents in the area.

People nearby rushed to help immediately after the accident. Residents moved the vehicle aside, rescued the woman from underneath, and shifted her to a hospital for emergency treatment.
