The drop in temperatures is mainly due to cold winds moving in from northern India. Over the past two days, these winds have led to a clear increase in chill across Pune and parts of central Maharashtra.

On Sunday alone, the minimum temperature fell by nearly five degrees compared to the previous day. Even by 9 am, people could feel the cold breeze on the streets, and the afternoon sun was noticeably mild.

By evening, the cold winds picked up again, and residents stepped out wearing sweaters and mufflers. The winter vibe was visible across markets and shopping streets as people enjoyed the cool weather.
