Pune, 14th July 2026: After lashing city with a heavy rainfall at the start of the month rain took nearly a week break, pushing both day and night temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the city is unlikely to receive rainfall over the next four days, bringing a continuation of hot and humid weather.
On Monday, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 32°C and a minimum of 23.3°C. Clear skies since morning and strong sunshine throughout the day made conditions increasingly uncomfortable across the city and its suburbs.
With no significant change in the weather expected over the next few days, residents are likely to continue experiencing warm and humid conditions.
The IMD has predicted similar weather on Tuesday, with the maximum temperature expected to remain around 32°C and the minimum near 23°C. Skies are likely to stay mostly clear during the morning, turning partly cloudy later in the day. However, no rainfall is expected.
The weather department has also indicated that both maximum and minimum temperatures may increase further from Thursday, prolonging the current dry spell and adding to the heat discomfort across Pune.
