Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first player to score 50 goals in Premier League, La Liga and Serie A

Cristiano Ronaldo re-wrote history by becoming the first player to score 50 goals in Premier League, LA Liga and Serie A. The Portugal legend scored his 50th goal in Serie A helping Juventus win against Lazio 2-1 on Monday at the Allianz stadium in Turin, Italy. Ronaldo has also become the fastest player to score 50 goals in the Serie A in over 25 years.

The 35-year-old took 61 matches beating the previous fastest to score 50 goals in Serie A, Andriy Shevchenko who scored 50 goals in 68 matches for AC Milan. The game saw Ronaldo scoring two consecutive goals in a three-minute gap (51' and 54' for Juventus). His 50th goal came off the penalty received in the 51st minute. Lazio's Ciro scored a goal in the 83rd minute, giving them something to cheer about.

The Portuguese forward scored 84 goals during his six seasons with Manchester United. Additionally, he has netted a whopping 311 goals off 292 games in La Liga with Real Madrid.

Apart from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, no player has scored 50 goals in England, Spain and Italy; however, Edin Dzeko did it in England, Germany and Italy.

"Records are always important, but the important thing is that the team wins," Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia post-game.
