A Fairytale for Grown-Ups was intended to be Kannada star Yash's comeback to the big screen after a four-year hiatus. Originally scheduled for release on March 19, the film's debut has been postponed to June due to the current conflict in the Middle East following a joint strike by the US and Israel on Iran.

The release date for Toxic has been delayed.

On Wednesday, March 4, the actor-producer released a statement from the creators of Toxic, announcing a new release date for the movie. The statement said, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we envisioned to create cinema for an international audience. Shot in Kannada and English, it is crafted with the aim to engage viewers both locally and globally. After years of hard work, we were eager to present our film to everyone on March 19. However, the current uncertainty, particularly in the Middle East, has created a situation that affects our objective to reach and engage with the broadest audience possible.'

Toxic is now set to be released in June.

The announcement mentioned that the producers have opted to delay the film's release to June, anticipating that the Middle East situation will stabilize by then. "Thus, prioritizing the well-being of our partners and audience, we have taken the challenging yet thoughtful decision to adjust our release schedule. We appreciate your understanding and patience and eagerly await your ongoing support and affection."

The announcement concluded with a revised release date. 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is set to premiere in theaters worldwide in both English and Indian languages on June 4, 2026,' it stated.

Toxic, a film directed by Geetu Mohandas, features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in prominent roles. The intensely violent action story stirred significant interest following the release of its look and teaser, both of which sparked some controversy.

Is Dhurandhar 2 benefiting from Toxic's setback?

The delay of Toxic is favorable for Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2, set to premiere on March 19, as it was previously competing with the Yash-led film. Aditya Dhar's spy thriller might now enjoy an exclusive release on that date.
