Priya Pal, a Bengaluru resident, shared a video on Instagram showing how she booked a nearby hotel room simply to enjoy air conditioning for the day. The clip captures her relaxing indoors while escaping the harsh heat outside, highlighting the growing struggle many people in the city face due to limited cooling options.

Text shown in the video stated that they had reserved a hotel near their home in Bengaluru for this reason, highlighting how hard it had become to cope with the heat at home. In the comments, Priya elaborated on her decision, saying they initially anticipated rainfall, but it never came. She further noted that when they attempted to purchase a cooler or an air conditioner, nothing was in stock and delivery would have taken seven days.

She added that renting cooling equipment in her area was impossible because of the high demand. She recounted that they eventually ordered a cooler online and chose to spend Sunday at a hotel. Rather than going out for a meal, they decided to stay in, watch Netflix, and unwind. She remarked that it felt like the right choice.

Social Media Reactions

Priya captioned her video saying she could no longer manage without an air conditioner, expressing frustration over the rising heat and limited cooling options. The clip quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions online—many users related to her situation, while others found her solution amusing or impractical. One user commented, “Buying or renting an AC would be much better,” while others also joked about the idea and shared how they would consider similar options during extreme situations like power cuts.
