Pune: The Maharashtra State Examination Council (MSBSHSE) will use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to prevent malpractices during the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be held on Sunday.

As many as 18,000 CCTV cameras have been installed in all the classrooms and will be live-streamed in the control room (war room) of the examination council.

With these cameras implementing state-of-the-art AI-based services, every movement in classrooms will be closely monitored. The exam will be held at 1,023 centres. A total of 75,996 students have registered for both the papers.

Since the exam is sensitive, the examination council will also use methods like physical examination and technical facial verification for the first time in addition to AI. Nandkumar Bedse and Commissioner Anuradha Oak said at a press conference.

Due to AI, if a place is overcrowded, supervisors stand in the same place without making rounds in the examination hall, students move the seating arrangement, if there is any other wrong movement, alarm bells will ring in the control room. Instructions will be given to the concerned Centre Director accordingly.

This will be a security check.
- Every student and designated officer should be screened with the help of a metal detector before entering the examination centre.
- No one can take electronic items or metal materials inside
- Photo on exam form as well as technical facial verification
- CCTV cameras in every examination centre, examination hall, centre director's room
- Live streaming of primary education officer office of zilla parishads and examination councils at state level through these cameras
