Baner Road: Traffic Restrictions Near Hotel Mahabaleshwar Chowk, Check New Routes

These temporary changes are aimed at minimizing congestion and ensuring uninterrupted metro construction in Baner. The Pune Traffic Police have urged commuters to cooperate.

Pune: The Pune Traffic Police have implemented temporary traffic diversions under the Baner Traffic Division to facilitate metro station construction near Hotel Mahabaleshwar Chowk. The changes aim to reduce congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement in the affected areas.

The restrictions have been imposed under the Motor Vehicles Act. Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune, issued the official order, also canceling any previous parking-related directives at this location.

Revised Traffic Routes to Ease Congestion

To reduce traffic bottlenecks near Hotel Mahabaleshwar Chowk, University Road, and Pashan Road, the following diversions have been introduced:

  • Baner-Pashan Link Road to University Road: Vehicles must take a left turn, pass by 45 Icon building, take a U-turn, and then continue via Hotel Mahabaleshwar Chowk to reach their destination.

  • Baner Village to Baner-Pashan Link Road: Vehicles must U-turn at Mauli Petrol Pump, return to Hotel Mahabaleshwar Chowk, take a left turn, and proceed via Baner-Pashan Link Road.

Restrictions Near NICMAR University and MITCON School

To manage traffic congestion near NICMAR University and MITCON School, the following restrictions have been enforced:

  • The road in front of NICMAR University is closed for heavy vehicles and four-wheelers.

  • Alternative Route: Vehicles must proceed 50 meters ahead from MITCON College and use the service road next to the highway to reach their destination.

These temporary changes are aimed at minimizing congestion and ensuring uninterrupted metro construction in Baner. The Pune Traffic Police have urged commuters to cooperate and follow the new traffic regulations to avoid inconvenience.
