Bengaluru’s Suitcase Murder Case: Pune Police Arrest Accused Husband Rakesh

Pune/Bengaluru: In a major breakthrough, Pune Police have arrested Rakesh, the prime accused in the shocking suitcase murder case that took place in Hulimavu, Bengaluru. After allegedly murdering his wife, dismembering her body, and stuffing the remains into a suitcase, the accused fled to Pune.

Police tracked Rakesh’s movements using Call Detail Records (CDR) and alerted Pune authorities. Following swift action, Pune Police arrested him. He will now be transferred to Bengaluru for further questioning.

Confession Call to Wife’s Parents Shocked the Family
According to the police, Rakesh confessed to the crime himself. After committing the gruesome act, he reportedly called his wife’s parents and informed them about what he had done.

As soon as the victim’s family received the shocking news, they immediately contacted Maharashtra Police, who then alerted Hulimavu Police. Acting swiftly, the Bengaluru police team reached the crime scene and began their investigation.

Couple Worked Together and Lived in Bengaluru for a Year
Both the accused husband and the victim wife were employees of a private company. They had been residing in Doddakammanahalli, Bengaluru, for the past year. Working from home, the couple lived together in the same house.

Investigators are now examining the motive behind the crime, trying to determine whether the murder was premeditated or committed in the heat of the moment.

Motive Yet to be Confirmed
Once the accused is taken to Bengaluru, the police will conduct a detailed interrogation to uncover the exact reason behind the murder and other key details related to the case.
