Pune: The ongoing cold wave has gripped Pune and nearby districts, with temperatures plummeting below 10°C in several areas.

Early Tuesday (November 26) morning, NDA and Haveli taluka recorded a chilling 9°C, marking one of the coldest mornings of the season.

This drop makes regions like Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Nashik colder than the hill station Mahabaleshwar, a rare phenomenon for this time of year.

In addition to the drop in temperature, dense fog enveloped Pune city and nearby regions over the past 24 hours, significantly reducing visibility in many areas.

The chill persisted throughout the day, and residents reported a noticeable nip in the air during the afternoon.

Prominent areas, including Shivajinagar, Ambegaon, Malin, Talegaon, and Daund, recorded minimum temperatures hovering around 10°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting that the cold wave conditions will intensify further across Pune and Maharashtra in the next three to four days.
