Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has successfully integrated digital solutions into its operations by launching the ‘Aapli PMPML’ mobile app for online ticket booking and cashless transactions. Since its launch, the app has garnered over six lakh users, with daily revenue exceeding ₹20 lakh.

PMPML had long faced demands for a dedicated mobile application, similar to Ola and Uber, to provide technologically advanced facilities for commuters.

PMPML administration developed and launched the ‘Aapli PMPML’ app, which has been met with a positive response from Pune’s public transport users. Officials anticipate that with an increase in users, PMPML will eventually become fully cashless.

New iOS Version Launched for iPhone Users

Initially, the PMPML app was available only on Android devices via the Google Play Store. However, iPhone users were unable to access the service. Addressing this gap, PMPML has now launched an iOS version, ensuring that Apple users can also take advantage of the app’s features.

Major Features of the PMPML App

  • Real-time bus tracking with live location updates.

  • Estimated arrival time display for buses at various stops.

  • Online ticket and pass bookings, including ₹40, ₹50, and ₹120 daily passes.

  • Metro ticket booking directly through the app.

  • Option to submit complaints and feedback via the app.

  • Future Growth and Revenue Potential
