Pune: New revelations about the properties owned by Valmik Karad, the accused in the Santosh Deshmukh murder case, have surfaced as investigations continue. Karad, who is also facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), is reported to have purchased multiple properties in Pune in the names of both his wives and himself.

Karad has two children, Atharv and Arnav, with his second wife, Jyoti Mangal Jadhav. Investigations reveal that he purchased properties worth crores of rupees in her name, including a flat on the 17th floor of Tower 33, Sector 21, in Amanora Park Township, Hadapsar.

He also owns another flat in the same township and a third flat on the ground floor in the Gera GreensVille Song of Joy Society, Kharadi. The flats in Amanora Park Township are estimated to cost ₹1.5 crore each, while the Kharadi property is valued between ₹1.5 and ₹2.75 crore. Additionally, Karad has invested in two under-construction office spaces near Fergusson College Road, valued in the multi-crore range.

Karad’s first wife, Manjiri, also has two properties registered in her name in Pimpri-Chinchwad, including a 4 BHK flat and another property. The CID has alleged in court that Karad may also own properties abroad, leading to calls for an Gera GreensVille Song of Joy Society, Kharadi (ED) investigation into his assets.

Karad reportedly hid at one of his properties in Amanora Park Township while evading arrest. The revelations have raised questions about the source of his wealth and the acquisition of such extensive real estate holdings.
