Pune: In a shocking incident, some young men were seen clinging to the back of an ambulance while traveling through Dive Ghat. Four individuals dangerously hitched a ride on the rear of the ambulance, and the alarming video of the incident has been posted on social media platforms.

The Palkhi procession of Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj recently passed through Dive Ghat to reach Saswad. Following the procession, Dive Ghat was reopened to the public. During this time, several youths were spotted holding onto the back of an ambulance as they traveled towards Saswad.

Local residents captured the video and posted it on social media, where it quickly gained widespread attention. This perilous mode of travel could easily result in severe injuries or fatalities, emphasizing the need to curb such reckless behavior.

The Palkhis (palanquins) of Saint Tukaram Maharaj and Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj were recently bid farewell by Pune residents. After reaching Hadapsar, the palanquins head in different directions, with Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s procession moving towards Saswad through Dive Ghat. Once the procession reached Saswad, Dive Ghat was reopened for regular travel.

During this period, at night, several youths were seen clinging dangerously to an ambulance traveling from Dive Ghat to Hadapsar. The ambulance was provided for the devotees, but the video shows young men hitching a ride on the back of the speeding ambulance.

Reports suggest that the youths resorted to this dangerous travel method due to the unavailability of other vehicles via Hadapsar.
