Pune: In a shocking crime in Loni Kalbhor, a woman, with the help of her lover, murdered her husband to remove him from their illicit relationship. The murder, which took place on Tuesday (April 1) morning, was solved within just three hours, leading to the swift arrest of the accused.

Murder Discovered in Early Morning Hours

The crime was reported from Raiwadi, under the Loni Kalbhor Gram Panchayat. At approximately 7 AM on Tuesday, locals found 45-year-old Ravindra Kashinath Kalbhor lying in a pool of blood on a cot outside his house. He had suffered severe head injuries, which resulted in his instant death.

Quick Police Action Leads to Arrests

As soon as the police received the report, they launched a rapid investigation. Within three hours, they arrested Shobha Ravindra Kalbhor (40) and her lover, Gorakh Tryambak Kalbhor (42).

Planned Murder to Remove Husband as an Obstacle

According to the police investigation, Shobha and Gorakh were involved in an extramarital affair. Since Ravindra had become an obstacle in their relationship, they hatched a plan to kill him.

On Monday (March 31) night, around 11 PM, while Ravindra was sleeping outside his house, Shobha and Gorakh attacked him with a spade, striking him on the head multiple times. The severe injuries led to his immediate death.

After committing the gruesome crime, the duo attempted to erase evidence, but the police acted quickly, arresting them before they could cover up their actions.

Family's Complaint and Confession by Accused

Ravindra’s brother, Bhausaheb Kashinath Kalbhor, lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a murder case and conducted an immediate investigation. During interrogation, both Shobha and Gorakh confessed to the crime, confirming the murder was pre-planned.

"During the investigation, we obtained crucial evidence regarding the illicit relationship between Shobha and Gorakh. Upon questioning, they admitted to the crime. Further legal proceedings are underway," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajkumar Shinde.
