Pune: In a horrifying case of sexual assault and blackmail, a 33-year-old female IT engineer from Pune was allegedly drugged and raped by a man she met on Facebook. The accused, Tamim Harsalla Khan, along with three accomplices, reportedly committed multiple sexual assaults and extorted ₹30 lakh and two iPhones from the victim under threats of leaking explicit photos and videos.

According to the complaint, the victim, originally from Karnataka, was working in Pune when she came into contact with the accused in 2021 through Facebook. Khan introduced himself as the son of a wealthy builder and gained her trust by promising marriage. He later invited her to meet him at a hotel in Kandivali, Mumbai.

During their meeting, Khan allegedly spiked her soft drink with sedatives and sexually assaulted her. The victim further stated that she was later taken to various locations, including Mumbai and Pune, where additional assaults took place. She also alleged that Khan invited three of his friends and forced them to commit unnatural sexual acts against her.

In addition to the sexual abuse, the accused reportedly recorded videos and clicked pictures of the incidents. He then blackmailed the victim, threatening to make the content viral unless she paid him money. Under duress, the victim handed over ₹10 lakh in cash and took a bank loan to arrange another ₹18 lakh, totaling ₹30 lakh. She was also forced to purchase two iPhones using her credit card.

When she demanded her money back, she was allegedly assaulted and threatened with murder. The victim subsequently approached the police, and a case has been registered against Khan and his three associates at the Kandivali police station.
