Heartbreaking: 16-Year-Old Student Dies by Suicide, Leaves Note Saying ‘Mom, Dad, Sorry’

Pune: A 16-year-old 10th-grade student, Hariom Gajanan Bale, ended his life by jumping from the seventh floor of an under-construction building near Marvel In Empire Society, Golegaon Road. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday (February 16) morning around 9:30 AM, leaving the local community in shock.

According to the Shirur Police, Hariom had woken up at 4 AM to study and later made coffee for himself at 6 AM. Around 7 AM, he told his parents that he was going out for a walk but never returned. When he was not back by 9:30 AM, his mother called his phone, only to have it answered by the police. The officers informed her that her son had jumped from a nearby under-construction building.

Hariom’s parents rushed to the scene, where they found him lying unresponsive at the base of the building, surrounded by locals and police personnel. During their investigation, the police found Hariom’s mobile phone on the seventh floor of the building. Inside his pocket, they discovered a short note, which read: "Mom, Dad, sorry."

Hariom was immediately taken to the Rural Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. The Shirur Police have registered the case as an accidental death, and further investigation is being carried out by Police Constable Vishal Kothalkar.
