Pune: The Pune branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted convocation ceremony, awarding CA degrees to 1,100 graduates. Industry leaders emphasized lifelong learning, skill development, and ethical values as key drivers of success in the profession.
The event saw the presence of senior Chartered Accountant Bharat Phatak as the chief guest. He was joined by financial advisor CA Rachana Ranade, ICAI Central Committee member CA Chandrashekhar Chitale, CA Umesh Sharma, Regional Committee member CA Ruta Chitale, ICAI Pune Chairperson CA Amruta Kulkarni, Vice-Chairperson CA Sachin Miniyar, and other distinguished guests.
CA Bharat Phatak said, "Achieving the CA qualification is a significant milestone, but it is not the end. Specializing in your field, gaining experience, and deepening your knowledge should be an ongoing pursuit," he stated. He further stressed that professional growth depends on adapting to changing industry demands and staying updated with financial regulations.
Financial expert CA Rachana Ranade advised graduates to stay committed to their careers with dedication and integrity. "Success comes to those who work hard, stay updated with new skills, and adhere to ethical practices. Ethics, dedication, and skill enhancement should be lifelong priorities," she said.
ICAI Central Committee member CA Chandrashekhar Chitale expressed pride in the increasing number of female graduates, stating that 30% of the newly qualified CAs were women. He highlighted the global recognition of Indian Chartered Accountants and the vast opportunities available worldwide, especially in Europe, Canada, and Singapore. "Indian CAs are highly regarded internationally. Maintain this reputation and explore global career prospects," he encouraged.
ICAI Pune Chairperson CA Amruta Kulkarni delivered the welcome address, while CA Sarika Dindokar and CA Pranav Mantri conducted the event as hosts. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by CA Sachin Miniyar.
