IFFCO Warns Against Unauthorized Online Sales of Nano Fertilizers, Begins Legal Action

Farmers have been advised to purchase fertilizers only from authorized dealers to ensure authenticity and compliance with regulations.

Pune: Unauthorized online sales of IFFCO's Nano Fertilizers have been reported, where uncertified sellers are offering these products at lower prices without mandatory government approvals. IFFCO has warned that such illegal sales mislead farmers and authorized sellers, prompting the company to initiate legal action against those involved. Farmers have been advised to purchase fertilizers only from authorized dealers to ensure authenticity and compliance with regulations.

Unauthorized Online Sales Raise Concerns

Under the Central Government’s Fertilizer Control Order, only dealers holding a valid 'O' certificate are allowed to sell fertilizers like Nano Urea and Nano DAP. However, it has been found that some online sellers, without certification or authorization from IFFCO, are acquiring limited stocks from the market and reselling them at inflated prices to attract buyers. IFFCO has clarified that such activities are entirely illegal and warned against engaging in or supporting such transactions.

Official Pricing of IFFCO Nano Fertilizers

To ensure transparency, IFFCO has released the officially approved prices for its Nano Fertilizers:

Nano Urea

  • Dealer price: ₹204 per 500ml bottle

  • Maximum retail price for farmers: ₹225 per 500ml bottle

Nano DAP

  • Dealer price: ₹547.50 per 500ml bottle

  • Maximum retail price for farmers: ₹600 per 500ml bottle

IFFCO has urged farmers to remain cautious and verify the authenticity of sellers before making a purchase. Legal action will continue against those violating sales regulations.
