IMDR Hosts 50th Convocation; Students Advised to Embrace Change

Pune: The Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), a part of the Deccan Education Society (DES), hosted its Golden Jubilee Convocation Ceremony with Danish Khan, Executive Vice President of SonyLIV, as the chief guest.

In his address, Khan highlighted the transformative impact of technology on industries and society, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning. He urged students to embrace change rather than resist it and to adhere to strong ethical values in their professional and personal lives.

Prominent dignitaries at the event included Pramod Rawat, President of DES’s Governing Board and Council, Jagdish Kadam, Chairman of IMDR’s Managing Committee, and Director Dr. Shikha Jain. Also present were Dr. P. C. Nambiar, Dr. Anil Keskar, and Dr. Sushma Keskar.

Rawat, in his speech, underscored the role of education in shaping an individual’s success. He encouraged students to cultivate discipline in thoughts, actions, and conduct, stating that earning people’s trust is essential to overcoming life’s challenges.

The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of prestigious awards. Student Priya Agarwal was honored with the Gold Medal and the Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar Award for outstanding academic performance. The award was conferred by Dr. Shejwalkar’s daughter, Dr. Sushma Keskar, and her husband, Dr. Anil Keskar.
