Jejuri Shri Khandoba Somvati Yatra: Traffic Rerouted for December 30

Heavy and large vehicles will be barred from entering Jejuri and surrounding areas between 5:00 AM and midnight. Light vehicles for the yatra will be permitted.

Pune: The Purandar Taluka administration has implemented traffic diversions for December 30 to ensure the smooth conduct of the Shri Khandoba Deity’s Somvati Yatra in Jejuri and maintain law and order.

These measures have been put in place by Additional District Collector and District Magistrate Santosh Patil, and they aim to prevent congestion while facilitating smooth movement for pilgrims.

Heavy Vehicle Restrictions

On December 30, heavy and large vehicles will be barred from entering Jejuri and its surrounding areas between 5:00 AM and midnight. Light vehicles and other vehicles for the yatra will be permitted, but heavy traffic will be diverted to alternative routes.

Detailed Diversion Plan

Jejuri Police Station Area (Pune Rural Jurisdiction):

  • Traffic heading to Pune from Satara, Phaltan, Lonand, and Baramati through Jejuri-Saswad will be completely diverted via Neera-Morgaon-Supa to Kedgaon Chouphula along the Solapur Highway.

  • Vehicles traveling from Pune towards Baramati will be rerouted through Belsar-Kothale-Nazare-Supe-Morgaon Road to Baramati or Phaltan.

Supa Police Station Area (Pune Rural Jurisdiction):

  • Traffic from Baramati and Neera heading towards Pune via Jejuri will be diverted via Morgaon-Supa-Kedgaon Chouphula along the Solapur Highway.

Saswad Police Station Area (Pune Rural Jurisdiction):

  • Vehicles from Pune heading towards Phaltan and Satara via Jejuri will be rerouted via Saswad-Narayanpur-Kapurhol Road to Satara or Phaltan or via Saswad-Veer Phata-Parinche-Veer-Vathar Road to Lonand.

Appeal to Citizens

Traffic restrictions will not apply to light vehicles coming specifically for the Somvati Yatra. Authorities have urged citizens to take note of the diversions and cooperate to ensure a hassle-free pilgrimage experience.
