The Yerawada Police have registered a case against unidentified individuals and launched an investigation into the incident.

According to the complaint filed by Navri Haldar Singh, a resident of Harinagar, Wadgaon Sheri-Kalyani Nagar Road, the theft took place when a thief entered the hotel through a rear door.

The thief managed to break into the cash counter and steal ₹4 lakh before fleeing the scene.

Upon discovering the missing cash, hotel management immediately alerted the police. Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke and Assistant Inspector Priyanka Devkar visited the hotel and inspected the crime scene.

Assistant Police Inspector Solunke is heading the investigation, and the police are leaving no stone unturned to track down the culprit. Hotel staff and nearby establishments are also being questioned as part of the ongoing inquiry.

In August 2024, Pune Police successfully solved a high-profile theft involving expensive designer shirts stolen from Nivedita Saboo's boutique in Kalyaninagar.

The police team, tracing the suspects through extensive CCTV footage, apprehended three individuals from Sankalp City in Ranjangaon. The stolen items, including cash, clothing, and a motorcycle worth ₹1.16 lakh, have been recovered.
