Pune: In a case involving the attempted kidnapping of a driver to force him to take responsibility for a minor's car accident, the court has granted bail to construction businessmen Vishal Agarwal and his father Surendrakumar Agarwal.

The complaint was filed by driver Gangadhar Shivraj Herikrub (42). Surendrakumar Brahmdatta Agarwal (77) and Vishal Surendrakumar Agarwal (50), both residents of Bungalow No. 1, Brahma Suncity, Wadgaon Sheri, had applied for bail while in judicial custody.

The bail application was heard in the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) N. S. Bari.

The complainant, a key witness in the Porsche car accident case, alleged that the accused father and son had tried to force him to take responsibility for the minor's crime by threatening and confining him in their bungalow. Clothes belonging to the complainant were seized from a room in the accused's bungalow.

CCTV footage of the incident showed tampering by the accused, and there were concerns that they might interfere with the evidence if granted bail.

The prosecution argued against bail, stating that the accused had already attempted to tamper with blood samples to save the minor and could obstruct the investigation if released. Despite these concerns, the court granted bail to the accused.
