The clip, posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Kabeer, shows a bus traveling down a road as a child suddenly crawls onto the main carriageway. The incident occurred on June 10 in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 8:30 am.

Driver's Quick Response Saves Life

The video revealed that when the bus driver spotted the toddler, he responded swiftly and promptly hit the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a halt. After the bus halted, the conductor rushed towards the child and picked the toddler up from the road. His swift action ensured the child remained safe from any vehicles that could have approached from the opposite direction.

Child Returned To Parents

According to the post, the child was safely returned to the parents. The parents reportedly realised what had occurred only after the toddler was handed back to them. At present, it remains unclear how the toddler ended up on the highway, and the parents have not yet issued any statement regarding the incident.

This incident coincides with a separate case in which a BEST bus reportedly went out of control and rammed into several vehicles near Dadar in Mumbai, killing a 30-year-old delivery executive and injuring others. As per the information received, the bus is said to have lost control near Plaza Cinema and struck an Activa two-wheeler, an electric bike, a taxi, a Baleno, and an electric car before coming to a halt.

Initial findings from the incident suggest human error, with investigators looking into whether the driver may have mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake after restarting the vehicle.
