Leopard Scare in Nigdi Ends with Successful Rescue, Residents Breathe Easy

Pune: A leopard entered the Sector 24 area in Nigdi, causing widespread panic among residents. According to reports, two leopards were believed to have entered the locality. While one of them escaped, the other remained within the residential zone, raising concerns about public safety.

As word spread about the leopard's presence near Sant Kabir Park, fear took hold among the locals. Many residents avoided stepping out, and the entire neighborhood remained on high alert. Authorities, aware of the potential threat, acted swiftly to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Forest Department immediately set up traps and launched a large-scale search operation to track the leopard. The operation was conducted on a war footing, as authorities aimed to ensure the safety of both residents and the wild animal.

After an intensive search effort, the Forest Department successfully trapped and captured the leopard, bringing relief to the panic-stricken residents. Officials ensured that the capture was carried out safely and humanely, preventing any harm to the animal.

The situation in Nigdi has now returned to normal, and authorities are monitoring the area to confirm that no other wild animals remain in the vicinity.
