Pune: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has announced the interim results of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), conducted on November 10, 2023. The exam determines eligibility for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools across the state.
According to the results, a total of 10,890 candidates have qualified. The results have been published on the official website http://www.mscepune.in.
Candidates who wish to apply for re-evaluation or raise objections regarding the marks awarded must submit their applications online by February 6. The Examination Council has clarified that applications submitted through other means will not be considered.
Maharashtra State Examination Council Commissioner Anuradha Oak has also announced that candidates from reserved categories have been given until February 6 to submit their representations.
Exam Details and Pass Percentage
The TET exam was conducted in two papers:
Paper 1 (for candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5)
Paper 2 (for candidates aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8)
A total of 353,952 candidates registered for the exam. The number of candidates registered for each paper was:
152,605 for Paper 1
201,347 for Paper 2
However, the actual number of candidates who appeared for the exam was 330,074, with:
142,254 appearing for Paper 1
187,820 appearing for Paper 2
Among those who took the test, 4,684 candidates passed Paper 1, while 6,206 candidates passed Paper 2. The overall pass percentage was 3.29% for Paper 1 and 3.30% for Paper 2.
