Four in Pune among the 32 new positive coronavirus cases in Maharashtra on Saturday

PUNE: With 32 new cases in Maharashtra being confirmed on Saturday the total number of coronavirus infected (COVID-19) has reached 181. In Pune, four new cases were reported taking the city total to 24.


Out of these 32 new cases, 22 are from Mumbai, said State Health Officials. Four confirmed cases have been reported from Vasai-Virar and two from Nagpur. 


As per State officials, 26 patients across the State have been discharged so far. Five patients remain in critical, admitted in hospitals. Also, the state officials noted that the 85-year-old doctor who was a suspected case of COVID-19 death, has now been confirmed, taking Maharashtra's death toll to six. 


PUNE CASES

Four new cases were tested positive in Pune city. Three of them are close contacts of a patient who tested positive on Friday at a private hospital in the city, with no foreign travel history. A 50-year-old man is the fourth patient who tested positive on Saturday. He also doesn't have a foreign travel history.
