Shirdi: Shirdi, the place where the soul of Shri Satchidanand Sadguru Sainath Maharaj - also known as Saibaba rests today is one of the sacred places in Maharashtra.

The Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi was reopened on Monday after the Uddhav Thackeray-led government declared that temples and other places of religious worship around the state can reopen that were shut down since March amid COVID-19 lockdown.

Although, amid the COVID-19 safety protocols, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust will only permit 6,000 devotees per day while 900 devotees per hour. The devotees will have to apply online for the darshan or can also ask for a token from the counter.

Wearing face masks will be cumpolsary for every devotee along with following necessary social distancing rules. The devotees' feet will also be washed as soon as they enter the temple.

On the other side, those above 65 years of age and children below 10 years will be banned from entering the temple.
