Possibility of foul play can't be denied in power outage incident of Mumbai, says Nitin Raut

Day after the power outage in Mumbai, State Energy Minister Nitin Raut has made shocking statement on his Twitter handle.

Mumbai: Several parts of Mumbai faced a power outage Monday, which resulted in halt of local trains as well as postponement of exams of some colleges in the region. The power outage also hampered many businesses as the industries came standstill.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also had called a high-level meeting to review the situation. By Monday noon, Tata Power stated that the company had progressively started restoring supply to all its customers starting from 12 noon and had restored supply fully.

Day after the power outage in Mumbai, State Energy Minister Nitin Raut has made shocking statement on his Twitter handle. Late Tuesday, Nitin Raut took to Twitter and wrote, “The possibility of foul play/sabotage can't be denied in the power outage incident of Mumbai.” The tweet of the Minister went viral in no time. State energy minister made clear that a technical failure in one of the circuits of a 400 KV line of the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited had resulted in the power cut on Monday.

Suburban areas of Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli and some parts of Malad and Santacruz had no power or faced recurrent power cuts till late Monday night.
