Pimpri: In a shocking incident, a woman in a live-in relationship was brutally murdered by her partner over repeated financial disputes and suspicions about her character.

The accused, identified as Dinesh Thombre, was arrested by Wakad police. The victim, 35-year-old Jayashree More, was killed in a fit of rage, and their three-year-old son was later abandoned in Alandi.

According to police reports, Dinesh and Jayashree had been cohabiting in Wakad for the past five years.

Despite being married and having two children with his wife, Dinesh had entered into a relationship with Jayashree, who herself was estranged from her husband. Recently, the couple had frequent arguments as Jayashree demanded money and expressed her wish to live independently.

On the morning of November 24, the couple had an altercation inside a car near Bhumkar Chowk. During the argument, Dinesh struck Jayashree on the head with a hammer, causing severe injuries. She died on the spot.

Panicked by her sudden death, Dinesh decided to dispose of the body. He drove to Khambataki Ghat in Satara, where he abandoned her remains.

The following day, Dinesh returned to Pimpri-Chinchwad and filed a missing person complaint for Jayashree at the Wakad police station in an attempt to divert suspicion.

However, the police soon received information about a woman’s body found in Khambataki Ghat that matched Jayashree’s description.

Further investigation revealed that Dinesh was responsible for the murder. In a chilling revelation, it was discovered that he had also abandoned their three-year-old son in Alandi.

Police circulated a social media post about the child, which went viral and helped trace him. Dinesh was subsequently arrested, and a case has been registered against him.
