Pune: In a swift move ensuring justice and women's safety, the Loni Kalbhor police have filed a charge sheet within 24 hours against a man accused of molesting and assaulting a woman. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
The accused, Ajay Dilip Bhosale (32), a resident of Dreams Nivara Society, Koregaon Mul, Haveli Taluka, Pune, was arrested after a 31-year-old married woman filed a complaint at Loni Kalbhor Police Station.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on March 17 at around 4 PM in Loni Kalbhor village. The accused allegedly held the woman’s hand and attempted to force her into a romantic relationship, claiming he could not live without her. When the woman rejected his advances and pushed him away, he verbally abused and physically assaulted her.
The distressed woman immediately reported the incident to the Loni Kalbhor police, who launched an investigation under the supervision of Assistant Police Inspector Sarjerao Bobde.
Charge Sheet Filed Within 24 Hours
Following the registration of the molestation and assault case, police officers swiftly gathered strong evidence against the accused. Acting on directives from Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, who stressed the importance of prioritizing women’s safety, the investigation was completed within 24 hours.
The charge sheet was presented in court within the stipulated time, and the accused has been placed in judicial custody. Investigation Officer Sarjerao Bobde, along with police staffer Kishor Kulkarni, led the effort to ensure the victim received timely justice.
