The second phase of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive for age-appropriate population groups has begun on Monday.

Those who wish to get vaccinated for free of cost, can register themselves with government centres. While those who wish to get inoculated at a private centre will have to shell out Rs 250. There are 10,000 government centres and 20,000 private centres carrying out the vaccination process across India.

Here is how you can register yourself:

• Offline/Online registration - Registration can be done offline and online. Those who wish to register themselves online can book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the COWIN 2.0 portal or through other IT (information technology) applications such as Arogya Setu, etc, While offline candidates will have to register themselves in hospitals and common service centres.

• Documents needed - For people above 60 years of age will have to submit ID proof, while people with comorbidities will need a medical certificate along with ID proof.

• No choice of vaccine dose - You don’t have an option to pick the vaccine doses available in India.
