Delhi: Amid untoward incidents taking place on Republic Day in Delhi, the farmers are likely to cancel the parliament march on budget day, according to some reports. The reports further states that farmer unions protesting against the central government’s new agriculture laws will be meeting on Wednesday to draft their future course of action.

The leaders had a meeting on Tuesday and have decided that individual unions will think within their organisation first and then meet to firm up the date for future actions. The farmers’ union are expected to chiefly think on the planned Parliament march amid the law-and-order problem it may create in the Delhi.

On Tuesday, the umbrella organisation of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) had called off the tractor rally midway and asked protestors to return to their respective sites. However, the statement noted further, the movement will continue peacefully, and further steps will be discussed soon.

Thousands on protestors clashed with Delhi police in multiple places, leading to ruckus in multiple landmarks of Delhi. The proposed tractor rally also left farmers' two-month peaceful movement in tatters. Nearly 30 FIRs were registered in connection with the violence during the rally on Tuesday, Delhi Police informed on Wednesday.
