Police stated that after committing the murder, Ravindra cut the body into pieces, kept some parts in a refrigerator, and discarded the rest at various locations.

Officials stated that he allegedly also burned the head and hands at an empty plot near Adavivaram in an effort to destroy evidence.

According to the report, police added that the accused and the victim had been in touch since 2021 after connecting through a dating app, and were in a relationship, meeting frequently at various locations across the city.

Officials stated that the accused alleged the woman had taken ₹3.5 lakh from him and had threatened to disclose their relationship to his wife, which resulted in frequent quarrels between them.

On the day of the incident, Ravindra is alleged to have summoned Mounika to his apartment, where a heated argument ensued before he reportedly smothered her to death.

As per the Circle Inspector of Gajuwaka, the crime occurred at the accused’s home in LV Nagar, where the body was dismembered into two parts—one stored in a refrigerator and the other placed in a gunny bag, according to news agency ANI.

Police stated that the suspect committed the crime while his wife was visiting her parents. The remains were subsequently found in the residence, and the suspect has since been taken into custody.

The Gajuwaka police have filed a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
