Pune: A young man was injured, and his car was vandalized after being attacked with stones by a woman and her two accomplices. The incident took place late at night in the Sane Chowk area of Chikhali. The accused reportedly targeted the man due to suspicions of his involvement in assisting a woman in her divorce case.

The complainant, Siddhesh Suresh Kapse (24), a resident of Newale Vasti in Chikhali, has filed a case at the Chikhali Police Station. The accused have been identified as Somnath Arjun Gondawale, Atharva Somnath Gondawale, and a woman, all from the same locality.

According to the police, the accused believed Siddhesh was helping one of their female relatives in her ongoing divorce case. On the night of the incident, Siddhesh and his friends—Sagar Balu Thorat, Akash Nanasaheb Thengal, and Akash Anil Jarkar—were on their way to dinner in a car.

At around 10:30 PM, near Sane Chowk, Somnath intercepted Siddhesh’s car using another vehicle. Shortly after, Atharva and the female accused arrived on a two-wheeler and began pelting stones at the car from behind. The attack damaged the rear windows of the car, and one of the stones struck Siddhesh on his left wrist, causing an injury.

A complaint has been registered, and investigations are being led by Police Constable Petkar. The police are probing the motive behind the attack and collecting evidence to proceed with further legal actions against the accused.
