The women, reportedly dressed in revealing clothing, were seen making inappropriate gestures near the PMT bus stop on the Chauphula-Supa Road to entice male passersby into physical relations.

Acting on a tip-off, Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Sapange, along with Assistant Sub-Inspector B.P. Shendge, Police Constable P.S. Maske, Women Police Constable Swapnali Tilve, and Police Constable Rajeev Sapale, conducted a raid at the location.

A female witness accompanied the police team during the operation. At the scene, the police found seven women, aged between their 20s and 40s, engaged in inappropriate and suggestive behavior.

These women were detained and later identified as residents of Uruli Kanchan and Daund taluka.

A formal complaint was lodged by Police Constable Rajeev Sapale, and a case has been registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act for promoting solicitation and public indecency.

The raid, conducted between 2:30 and 3:00 PM, was carried out near a bridge along the Boripardhi-Chauphula stretch of the Kedgaon-Supa Road.

Further investigations are underway. Local residents have welcomed this decisive action by the Kedgaon Police, expressing relief over the crackdown on immoral activities in public spaces.
