Pune Accident: Youth dies after falling off bike at high speed

A young man died and his fellow passenger was injured in an accident when his bike slipped off the road while he was traveling at high speed.

Pune - A youth died and his fellow passenger was injured in an accident when his bike skidded off the road while he was speeding. The accident took place near Athawale Chowk in Erandwane.

Tanmay Sachin Kalantre (age 21, resident of Nandanvan Society, Kothrud) died in the accident. His friend Setu Surendra Sarkar was injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment. A case of the accident has been registered on the complaint of Assistant Constable Vijay Dengale of Deccan Police Station.

According to the police, Tanmay and Setu were riding a two-wheeler at a high speed on Saturday (31st) afternoon at around 4 pm. Their two-wheeler slipped on Canal Road in front of SNDT College and both of them fell on the road.

Tanmay suffered serious head injuries in the accident. He died before treatment. The incident was reported to Deccan Police Station on Tuesday (3rd) and further investigation is underway.
