Pune: Passengers traveling through Pune Airport no longer have to wait for extended periods for baggage screening.

The Pune Airport authorities have taken a significant step to improve the travel experience by installing two state-of-the-art CTX machines.

Capable of screening 1,100 to 1,200 bags per hour, these machines have drastically reduced waiting times for travelers.

Previously, passengers faced delays during security checks, often spending hours in queues and arriving at the airport well in advance to complete check-in and screening procedures.

These delays were a source of frustration for many. However, the introduction of the advanced machines has streamlined the process, saving time for passengers and enhancing their travel experience.

The CTX machines utilize advanced X-ray scanning technology, providing security personnel with clear insights into the contents of each bag.

This allows for faster identification of suspicious items, ensuring both speed and accuracy in baggage screening. Additionally, the technology upgrade has significantly bolstered airport security.

An official from Pune Airport stated, “To ensure passenger safety, comprehensive baggage screening is critical. The newly installed CTX machines allow us to carry out thorough checks efficiently, with a capacity to screen 1,100 to 1,200 bags per hour.”

Passengers have welcomed this development, as it not only reduces waiting times but also enhances their overall travel experience. The integration of advanced technology marks a step forward in improving both convenience and safety at Pune Airport.
