Pune APMC: Green Chili Prices Surge as Capsicum and Groundnut Rates Fall

The prices of dill leaves, spring onions, and chakwat increased, while mint prices declined. The rates for coriander, fenugreek, mustard leaves, spinach, and radish remained stable.

Pune: The Pune Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Gultekdi witnessed an influx of around 100 truckloads of vegetables on Sunday, leading to a decline in prices of onions, capsicum, and groundnut pods. However, green chilies, cluster beans, and peas saw a price hike due to higher demand.

Vegetables were transported from Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Locally, tomatoes, onions, cabbage, okra, and ginger saw significant arrivals. Traders reported that garlic, potatoes, and leafy greens saw stable prices, while coriander, fenugreek, and dill leaves recorded a price increase.

Vegetable Prices (Per 10 Kg)

  • Onions: ₹150-180

  • Potatoes: ₹100-180

  • Garlic: ₹400-800

  • Satara Ginger: ₹300-350

  • Okra: ₹250-400

  • Cluster beans: ₹600-800

  • Tomatoes: ₹80-120

  • Ridge gourd: ₹300-350

  • Green chilies: ₹500-600

  • Bottle gourd: ₹100-200

  • Cowpea: ₹200-250

  • Cucumber: ₹150-200

  • Bitter gourd (green): ₹250-300, (white): ₹200-250

  • Flat beans: ₹250-300

  • Ivy gourd (small): ₹300-350, (large): ₹150-160

  • Drumsticks: ₹300-400

  • Carrots: ₹150-200

  • Beetroot: ₹60-80

  • Peas (local): ₹450-500, (out-of-state): ₹400-450

  • Groundnut pods: ₹600

  • Totapuri mangoes: ₹400-700

Increase in Prices of Leafy Vegetables

  • Coriander: ₹1,000-1,500

  • Fenugreek: ₹800-1,200

  • Dill leaves: ₹800-1,000

  • Spring onions: ₹800-1,200

  • Chakwat: ₹300-600

  • Mint: ₹300-500

  • Spinach: ₹800-1,200
