Pune Bar Association Elections 2025-26: Voting on January 31, 7838 Members Eligible

Nomination Process: January 1–3, 2025 at Pune Bar Association office. Scrutiny of Nominations: January 4, 2025. Withdrawal of Nominations: Until 5:00 PM on January 7, 2025

Pune: The Pune Bar Association has officially released the schedule for its 2025-26 annual elections. Voting is set to take place on January 31, 2025, at the Shivajinagar District and Sessions Court premises from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Vote counting will commence at 6:30 PM the same evening, with results expected late at night.

Election Administration

Chief Election Officers Adv. Girish Shedge and Adv. Vijayaraj Darekar announced the details, supported by Additional Election Officers Adv. Amol Jadhav and Adv. Anil alias Annasaheb Pawar. Deputy Election Officers include Adv. Pravin Yesade, Adv. Supriya Kothari, Adv. Sachin Jhalte Patil, and Adv. Atul R. Patil, along with a team of Assistant Election Officers overseeing the process.

Voter Participation and Key Dates

The final voter list has been published, comprising 7,838 permanent members and 2,824 annual members eligible to vote.

  • Nomination Process: January 1–3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Pune Bar Association office.

  • Scrutiny of Nominations: January 4, 2025.

  • Withdrawal of Nominations: Until 5:00 PM on January 7, 2025, followed by the release of the final candidate list.

  • Candidate Presentations: January 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ashoka Hall.

Deposit Amounts

Candidates are required to submit deposits for their respective posts:

  • President: ₹20,000

  • Vice President: ₹15,000

  • Secretary: ₹10,000

  • Treasurer/Auditor: ₹7,000

  • Executive Committee Member: ₹3,000

The elections are expected to witness active participation from the legal fraternity as candidates present their visions and strategies for the association’s future.
