Pune Book Fair 2024: 5-Day Literary Festival to Begin on December 4

With the theme “Towards a Knowledge-Enriched Society,” the event promises to be a hub for book lovers, authors, and cultural activities.

Pune: The 22nd Pune Book Fair, a prominent event for literature enthusiasts, will take place from December 4 to December 8 at the Ganesh Kala Krida Manch in Swargate.

With the theme “Towards a Knowledge-Enriched Society,” the event promises to be a hub for book lovers, authors, and cultural activities.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 11 AM on December 4 at the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) auditorium on Tilak Road.

Dr. Sadanand More, a renowned literary figure, will inaugurate the event. The announcement was made by organizer P.N.R. Rajan during a press briefing.

The fair is being organized in collaboration with institutions such as the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, Pune Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra University and College Library Association, All India Radio,

and the Maharashtra State Education Department. Key attendees at the inaugural event include Bhau Saheb Karekar, Education Officer (Secondary) of Pune Zilla Parishad; Prof. Milind Joshi, Executive President of the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad; Sunita Raje Pawar, Principal Secretary of Masap; Indrajit Bagal from Prasar Bharati; and Krishna Kumar Patil, Director of Balbharati.

The book fair will also host cultural and literary events, including an interactive session with artist Ravimukul, a Meet the Author session, and a poetry meet featuring renowned poets. These programs will be held at the Maratha Chamber of Commerce (MCCIA) auditorium.
