Pune: Dumper Hits Two-Wheeler in Wagholi, 31-Year-Old Rider Dies on the Spot

The deceased has been identified as Yash Namdev (31), a resident of Parklane Premier Society, Wagholi. The police have filed a case against Krishna Sopan Gutte (38).

Pune: A 31-year-old man riding a two-wheeler lost his life in a tragic road accident when a dumper crashed into him near Lohgaon Chowk in Wagholi. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM on Friday (February 28) midnight, and a case has been registered against the dumper driver at the Wagholi police station.

The deceased has been identified as Yash Namdev (31), a resident of Parklane Premier Society, Wagholi. The police have filed a case against Krishna Sopan Gutte (38), a Wagholi resident and the driver of the dumper involved in the accident.

According to police reports, Yash was returning home on his two-wheeler when a dumper coming from Bhawadi hit him at Lohgaon Chowk. The impact caused severe head injuries.

His friends, who were riding behind him, immediately took him to a hospital, but he was declared dead before receiving any treatment. The police have taken the dumper driver into custody and initiated legal proceedings. The Wagholi police station is conducting further investigations into the incident.

This marks the third fatal accident in Wagholi within the past ten days. Previously, two people lost their lives in tanker-related accidents, and now Yash has succumbed to injuries from a dumper collision.
