Pune: Hatchet Gang Terrorizes Hadapsar Area, Vandalizes Vehicles

Case has been filed against four to five individuals in this matter. Maruti Kalokhe (31) from Phursungi lodged complaint with Hadapsar police.

Pune: Incidents of terror caused by gangs in the Hadapsar area have been on the rise. A recent incident involved a gang brandishing hatchets and vandalizing vehicles in the Sanket Vihar Society area.

A case has been filed against four to five individuals in this matter. Maruti Tatya Kalokhe (31), a resident of Divyashray Society, Sanket Vihar, Phursungi, Hadapsar, has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station.

The gang arrived in the Sanket Vihar Society area at midnight on Thursday. They began shouting and hurling abuses at the residents. The gang members then started smashing vehicle windows with hatchets.

Kalokhe witnessed the incident and confronted the vandals. In response, the gang threatened Kalokhe with a hatchet, endangering his life. Assistant Police Inspector Jadhav is investigating the case.

For the past few months, gang-related terror incidents in the Hadapsar area have been increasing. About a month ago, a gang threatened and vandalized local shops in this area. These acts of vandalism have left the residents living in fear.
