Pune: Historic Mahadji Shinde Chhatri to Host Educational Heritage Walk on February 9

During the event, Mohan Shete, President of Itihas Premi Mandal, will provide an in-depth insight into Mahadji Shinde’s military strategies.

Pune: A special heritage tour at the historic Mahadji Shinde Chhatri memorial in Wanawadi is set to take place on Sunday, February 9, at 9:30 AM. This event, organized by Sakal Media Group, Itihas Premi Mandal, and Lokmanya Cultural Foundation, aims to educate history enthusiasts about Sarsenapati Mahadji Shinde’s remarkable military achievements and contributions.

During the event, Mohan Shete, President of Itihas Premi Mandal, will provide an in-depth insight into Mahadji Shinde’s military strategies, his efforts in rebuilding the Maratha army, and his significant victory over the British at Wadgaon Maval.

The tour will also include an exploration of the Shiva temple located at the memorial site, where Shete will highlight its unique architectural features. In addition to the historical aspect, participants will visit a welfare organization for the differently-abled to learn about their activities and initiatives.
